Immune Support

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is an essential vitamin that plays many important roles in the proper functioning of the body. While it is most commonly obtained by exposing the skin to sunlight, it can also be found in some oily fish and fortified milk products. It plays essential roles in bone support, as it helps the body to ensure normal calcium absorption and maintenance of adequate calcium plasma levels.

Though it is often thought of as a vitamin, it is more accurately described as a regulatory hormone. Furthermore, additional research shows it can play key roles in immune health, normal cell growth and overall general health.

Numerous studies show that vitamin D levels may not be adequate in many populations, especially with the many precautions against excessive sun exposure and thus, supplementation with doses greater than 400 IU may be necessary to ensure optimal levels.

Since it is a fat-soluble nutrient, vitamin D can be limited in its usefulness by poor absorption by the body. Studies show that the VESIsorb® patented delivery system provides significant improvements in absorption and bioavailability of fat soluble nutrients. Unlike other commercially available products, VESIsorb® technology allows vitamin D to be delivered in a water soluble form with no loss in bio- efficacy or absorption.

The patented VESIsorb® delivery system is a naturally self-assembling colloidal droplet delivery system that has been clinically proven to increase absorption of nutritional supplements. VESIsorb® naturally self assembles into a colloidal system immediately upon contact with the aqueous environment of the digestive tract. The solubilized nanosize droplets are able to disperse uniformly and diffuse across the unstirred water layer and then transfer the bioactive to the intestinal system.

What is Vesisorb?

Patented VESIsorb® technology is clinically proven to provide up to 6X more bioavilability via multiple PK studies measured in human subjects.† VESIsorb® is the leading delivery system innovation for dramatically improving the bioavailability of poorly absorbed ingredients.
